Chad Gorges is a Kansas artisan, wood-turner and handmade custom furniture builder with wood sourced from his very own Gorges Family Tree Farm in Andale, KS., as well as from other area sources ensuring the highest quality raw materials possible. As you can see from the examples shown here he is an expert furniture maker capable of building basically any sort of home or office furniture you can think of and request, but he is obviously largely influenced by artists such as George Nakashima and his Japanese style as well as the multiple master builders from the American Arts & Crafts movement as well as the mid-century Modern Danish manner. Chad works mainly with the wood indigenous to the Midwest but if your heart is set on something else entirely he will do his best to locate and source what you are needing custom made for either home or office. Every piece from his collection and workshop is absolutely 100% handmade and exclusively produced by Chad himself. His are the only hands that will work on your piece from start to finish. If you see a piece on this site that you would like him to make specifically for you just let us know which it is and he can make it exactly as shown or change the dimensions a little, or substantially, whatever your needs may be to fit your style, your home or office. And he can even use the wood that you prefer for any of these varying styles as well, just let us know your preference and we will make it happen.
